World Heart Day 2026 Public Health Outreach (Port Harcourt)
The World Heart Day 2026 was celebrated in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, with a school public health education outreach on the theme “Don’t miss a beat” at the Demonstration Secondary School. The students were then given a heart-shaped hand fan with the key take home message: “Do you know your numbers” check your Blood pressure, Cholesterol, Blood Sugar, Body weight, Physical activity, No smoking. The event was organised by the Paediatric Cardiology Unit of University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN), Paediatric & Maternal Care Hospital and the Divine Heart Foundation.
