3 Steps to Save a Life: CPR & AED
If an adult or child collapses, is unresponsive, and is not breathing normally:
Call 112 / 767 & Get AED
Shout for help immediately. Tell a bystander to call national dispatch (112 or 767 in Lagos) and retrieve the nearest AED from this map.
Push Hard & Fast (CPR)
Place your hands in the center of the chest. Push down at least 2 inches (5 cm) deep at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute without interruption until help arrives.
Power On AED & Follow Prompts
Open the AED lid. Stick the adhesive pads onto the bare chest as illustrated on the pads. The device will automatically analyze the rhythm and give clear spoken instructions.
